Recently I got chance to be jury in selction of students idea for Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025. I was part of three jury member as Industry expert, in Himachal Pradesh. We received total 263 idea to rate. This is what i learn from being part of these jury for Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025.
Analysis of Students Idea
- Students upto Class 12 participate in Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025.
- Majority of students Ideas were very basics, and overwhelmy concern with Water and Agriculture 28.6%, Environment and Sustainbility 14.3%, Waste and Material 21.4 % , Health-Safety 17.5 % and Technology ,Energy and Infrastructure only 18.3%.
What this data tell us
Data give us rare insight into students Psyche and General Scinetific aptitude of Students. Majorty of Students show exception concern of Environment. Majority of students idea seek to solve, water scarcity, pollution and Plastic.
This suggest how human creativity shaped by immediate surrounding and Challenges. How higher creativity to shine we need to provide a stable environemnt to our students. There were few ideas seeking improving health ,Safety and well being ,these ideas were very basics like providing good chair, medicine kits etc. This again suggest how students see our environemnt.
Other insight from ideas presentation was that Teacher show very little interest in idea generation. In few cases video was very poorly shot and studnets were unable to express the idea.
What We need to change
Govt should improve immediate surrounding of students, only than anything meaning full come from students. Further govt should also enrue active teacher participation in such excercise.
